On Rope helps rope-access and rescue professionals track logbook entries, profile details, certification information, and related work records. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

We may collect information you provide directly, including:

  • Account information such as your name, email address, password authentication details, and profile photo.
  • Profile and certification information such as SPRAT or IRATA IDs, certification body, level, issue date, and expiration date.
  • Logbook information such as dates, hours, locations, job details, technical details, supervisors, work classifications, and entry status.
  • Feedback or support messages you submit through the app.

Payment Information

Payments and subscriptions are processed by Stripe. On Rope does not store full credit card numbers. Stripe may provide us limited billing details, such as subscription status, customer ID, plan, checkout session ID, and payment-related status needed to provide account access.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the On Rope app.
  • Save and display your logbook, profile, certification, and map information.
  • Manage account access, trials, subscriptions, and billing status.
  • Respond to feedback and support requests.
  • Protect the app from misuse, errors, and unauthorized access.

Location Information

If you enter job or work locations, the app may use those locations to show entries on a map. Location data is based on the information you enter into your logbook.

Sharing Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers that help operate the app, such as hosting, database, authentication, payment, email, and mapping services. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the app, users, or others.

Data Retention

We keep account and logbook information while your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain business records.

You can update many account, profile, certification, and logbook details inside the app. You may contact us through the Feedback page to request help with account or data questions.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee perfect security. Please use a strong password and keep your login credentials private.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app develops. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice in the app.
